Peaceful, restful, quiet

If you are a person looking for a break, want to rest, or go to somewhere natural, are a person who likes nature and the environment, then you should come here. I found it very peaceful and quiet, with the slight rain coming down. The food is not so good if you order there, but if you go out then outside got some good food, not expensive. I stayed in a villa, the beds were very soft, and the slippers were also made of paper. From my villa, I can see Singapore across the sea.

A nice resort, but can be improved

Stayed at KTM resort with my family and stayed at 2 Bedroom Family Villa. What I Liked · The facility is big, with lot of options to roam around and spend the day. There is only 1 pool of standard size, but clean. Nice view from my 'Family room'. Pool bar is great which opens until midnight and many options for drink and finger foods. The restaurant opens until 10pm with local food choices. What could be Improved · Not all rooms are with great view. Initially the room provided to us didn't had a good open view. Upon request, we shifted to a better room. Note that there is no handwash/soap is provided in bathroom, only shampoo, shower gel and other toiletries. Water pressure is low. Breakfast could be improved with more choices. Most of the meals were cold, not warm even. Fruits were open and flies were there. Could have been covered properly. The quantity of finger foods we ordered with drinks was very less. Potato wedges took almost 20 mins to arrive, and was soggy. Didn't like it at all.

Great place to stay, very welcoming and value for money. It’s welcoming. The spa scrub was the best part. The views from the sea front cabins, were great. I recommend the stay. The staff are friendly and attentive. It’s great get away from Singapore.

Average stay

Very helpful staff. We got to change our normal room to seaview room no extra cost and it was handled in 15mins. Nice resort with stunning views. Breakfast not good. Also on first morning they call bombed us from 9am to 9:15am in every 5mins if we were coming to have a breakfast and saying "we are waiting for you". It was odd and very annoying since breakfast was serviced until 10am. Food and drinks here are 3-5x times than normal prices in batam, understandable but still worth a mention. Food we ate was delicious and good tho (breakfast different story) Also on both nights we had drinks on the bar and it was almost unbearable since they have music so loud you cant even hear what your partner is saying. We asked if the music could be turned down and they did so for 15mins, after that it was again full disco mode. Music being too loud ruins the enjoyment sitting and enjoying the drinks and views. Also drinks tasted like no alcohol. (Mojito and pinacolada) We had very little to do here and we mostly spent our days exploring batam. But if you enjoy sunbathing on crowded pool, this might be good option for you. Cant leave bad review because it was a good stay but not so much for us.

Getaways with the two boys

The place itself is very clean and well maintained. I love the food in Ombak and the ambiance of that place. My kids enjoyed swimming in the pool so much. Shout out to the lady in the restaurant during our lunch time, the two guys during for breakfast, the staff from the poolside, the front desk and the driver. All of them were so very nice. We will surely comeback.

Relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere for weekend getaway

KTM resort boasters a stunning seaview and chill restaurants and bars taking advantage of the scenery! I had a relaxing time with my friends enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and partaking in the various activities that the resort offers - the jetski is a must try! The only thing that could be improved is a renovation of the rooms to refresh and upgrade the room as the amenities are quite dated. Overall it's a relaxing atmosphere to have a weekend getaway!

Satisfied

The venue: It is definitely a place of serenity. Perfect for a getaway from the bustling and hectic daily work-life back home. I love the beautiful location where the resort sits and the atmosphere is just superb. The staffs: Although the resort is not at it’s busy/peak period, I observed that the staffs did maintain their level of standards and professionalism. They did not discount any bit of the service quality for us, or in fact, even for other guests around us. It is very warming from the start, especially with Luthfi greeting us at the terminal. Overall: I will personally recommend KTM Resort highly to my friends and family should they have plans of coming to Batam. A very satisfied customer who loves such tranquility and service quality.

Fantastic Location

Stayed 3 nights at villa 519. The view was fantastic, comfy beds and awesome services from hotel staff. Breakfast was sumptuous and tasty. Free transport [cute pick-up] is provided from your villa to the lobby/hotel restaurant. You can get anywhere in the island via Gojek/Grab apps - waiting time less than 10 mins.

Get the Rooms as expected. Love the view. Stay here for our anniversary. Friendly staff ❤️ Whole resorts are well maintained. Good variety of food😋 Lots of activities you can find here all in one place. Will repeat it with a whole family next year.

Unmet Expectations and Inconvenient Policies at KTM Resort Batam

Here’s the updated version including the feedback about the food: “I would like to thank Mr. Randy for his assistance with our booking; however, our stay at KTM Resort Batam was overall disappointing, with several significant service issues. 1. Inconvenient Buggy Hours: The buggy service closes at 9:30 pm, which was extremely inconvenient as we were traveling with a baby and my 65-year-old mother. Extending the hours would make a huge difference for families who may need transportation after hours. 2. Restrictive Towel Policy: Despite booking an extra bed for our group of 6 adults and 1 child, we were only given six towels. The restrictive towel policy made us feel uncomfortable, as if we might misuse them. Given the extra bed we paid for, this seemed unreasonable. 3. Unreasonable Cleaning Charge: When my baby accidentally vomited a small amount of food on the bed, the hotel informed us there would be an extra charge for cleaning—without even attempting to wash it first. It was only food and unlikely to stain, and this added charge seemed unnecessary and unfair. 4. Poor Water Heater Quality: The water heater barely worked, making showers uncomfortably cold. This basic service falling short was particularly disappointing. 5. Unhelpful Staff: The staff was not as accommodating as we had hoped. Each request felt like an inconvenience to them, leaving us feeling unwelcomed. 6. Limited Pool Amenities: At the pool, we weren’t allowed an extra ball for our group of seven, and, once again, only six towels were provided. 7. Overpriced Food: We found the food prices to be unreasonably high, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with our stay. We left feeling deeply let down and would not recommend KTM Resort Batam to family and friends. There is potential here, but it’s clear the service and hospitality need serious improvement.”

Out of the way with no beach for swimming. Good for 2 nights at most. Nice rooms and views

Short Getaway to KTM Resort

I am impressed by the staffs and the amenities of the resort. The staffs are very friendly, nice and welcoming. They are knowledgeable about the area and places to visit. 😊 The amenities are great. They also offer a lot of water activities to enjoy. The restaurant serve a variety of foods. Our room was very nice each room has its own bathroom. We had an amazing view from the balcony. We really had a great time in KTM resort. ❣️

KTM may hv a good view but quite isolatedd at the end of the island.The banana water sport shloud consider Safety First.

The place is quite isolated and far from the shopping spots.Area clean but room especially in the top rows are just normal rooms but can be a bit weird somtimes.Not friendly moving for elders as everywhere are slopes and steps.Buggy does help a bit.Banana Ride Safety must be Review seriiysly for those boat operators.Look out for the tides and current.My family if 8 drifted quite fast and far during the capsized thrill,lucky they tagged closely together otherwise an incidents can happens.

KTM resort

We (10) stayed at KTM resort for 2 nights. We had 2 of 2 room apartments and 1 bedroom sea facing apartment The resort surrounding areas are very nice especiallly sitting at the balcony overlooking the sea. Staff were helpful and friendly and no language issues. The 2 rooms apartment have only 4 cups n kettle nothing else. Only given 2 bathtowels. Please note no face towel at all. A quarter roll of toilet paper. The apartments lighting are so dim, not enough light at all. Water pressure to bath, another issue, very hard to adjust the water temperatute. It either gets very hot or cold. The phone system, we had 1 room apartment, the phone can only recieves incoming call?

AFFORDABLE BEST RESORT IN BATAM

Shout of for Habib from Front Office Team and Lando. The place is beautiful you definitely can enjoy the sea view and lovely sunset. The special one is the have their own lagoon with plenty of fishes even i found Nemo, big Grouper fish. All of staff are friendly and can fulfill all of my inquiry. I definitely will be back again to KTM ! See you soon in another occasion

Ok for a short stay …

The website looks great .. especially for the price! But the rooms are terrible, filthy , ripped bed sheets dirty mattress and linen .. that really put me off instantly. The bathrooms need a full makeover! Shame as a good size but just need some real love!! The location is good for the ferry but the area is very quiet and remote . The resort has water sports but sadly no beach so it’s pool or nothing. The breakfast was good, lunch there is only that same restaurant available which is fine for a short stay but longer and I think it would be an issue . The pool was nice , the net hammocks on the jetty are very cool especially at sunset . But the small lagoon infront of the wooden hut apartments is bleak. The best part for us was the bar for sunset Great as had a different food menu and some music ( all though crazy loud when opens ) but doesn’t open til 4.30 so it’s not like you can chose that for lunch! There was a beautiful temple / statue on the property that I was told people come to visit . This was very impressive to see , the tiny shop next to however was the only other place to grab a drink very limited snack in the day and was cash only which was tricky . For a one night stay it’s totally fine and a bargain but more isn’t ideal. We were told there was a beach ten mins away but private and there is a cost to use it plus no snorkelling so we decided to stay put and just chill by the pool. The staff were good very nice and friendly . the transfer was brilliant from the ferry terminal. It looked to me that there was maybe some refurbish happening along the jetty, maybe with a little TLC the resort would be a pleasant short trip location for someone exploring Batam and the surrounding islands . sunset was amazing I will say! Looking across at Singapore too. The little camper van touch was cute , they were selling coconut water from there I was told . Very nice addition

Arrival /check-in experience excellent. Most Front Office personnel were helpful n courteous, especially Ms Citra. All other staff were just as polite, but English can be better n will assist them in an international clientele/ environment. Rooms were dated but clean, bathroom is new n water pressure is good. Buffet beakfast spread was good but the 2nd morning was a set meal (due to low occupancy?). Had meals at the Bar, n all meals were well cooked n presented. Location is isolated, no nearby shopping malls n attractions. But love the overall environment, excellent for a break n doing nothing! Love the sunset (have posted them in the KTM Resort Facebook page). Overall, a great stay, will return n have recommended friends to do the same.

Friendly and welcoming resort

We travelled as a grp and got rooms facing hills. The windows are frosted with curtains, so there is nothing much to see anyway. Room is simple and rustic, made with wood planks. Slightly dusty room but generally still acceptable. Toilet is kind of small, the shower is just next to the toilet bowl so everything gets wet. Bed is comfy tho, we slept relatively well for 2 nights. The variety for breakfast is acceptable, a mixture of Indonesian and western. Do take note that breakfast area is an open area, sand as the flooring.Buggy rides were available most of the time when we requested. The service staff were the star of our stay, from the reception, drivers to the cleaners! They were courteous, friendly and everyone had a smile for us, this is a reason why I gave the resort 4 stars.

NOOOOOO WAY will I support this place again.

The owner by name of jimmy was very arrogant . Noooo way I will or encourage anyone to come to this place because of how he encourages and support his staffs in handling the travellers. This is our 4th trip to the resort with family , we stayed for 4 nites straight and everyday we had issues with calling the buggy ride from room to lobby area, resort was small and they have 3 buggy to support the transfer but still every day we have to wait more then 30 mins. We kept our cool cause its a holiday right!. Finally last day our ferry bk to sg was 12.50pm we called for buggy about 11.10am till 11.50pm (5 times )we have been calling. As we have too many luggage to carry we did not chose to walk to lobby . They made us wait for 50 over mins... wtf.... after arrive at lobby we asked the reception what happen and why this happen. A man told us that due to the weather we just have to wait ... and that we shld manage our own timing better if we are afraid to be late for ferry plus they are not gng to compensate us if our ferry has gone.. Instead of apologising and appreciating that we are supporting his resort for the 4th time, he is telling us off . We asked who is he and for his name "he said: he is the owner". Its a young chap by the way. Attitude problem from employees can be understandable but its the OWNER who gives attitude and showing arrogance???? DO U THINK WE SHLD SUPPORT HIS RESORT AND put our rightfully enjoyable trip at risk. ?

KTM resort - Room 512 for the best unobstructed ocean view

We had the room with the best view - 512. It was on the highest ground level of the resort. No blockage by trees. Full ocean view of Singapore. When you open all the windows, it gets really windy. There were no stars at night, in the purple night sky, you can see drones flying. Beware of monkeys. Saw a family of 8. They were quite active until about evening time 6pm. KTM resorts offers 2-way complimentary transfer from Sekupang Ferry Terminal which is 8mins drive. We used GRAB to travel from resort to Mega Mall which is about 30mins drive and it cost us IDR95k. We also GRAB from resort to One Batam Mall which is about 30mins drive and it cost us IDR88k.

Perfect location from ferry for a chilled few days

Excellent location from Sekupang ferry, resort will kindly shuttle you to and from the ferry. Perfect for a chilled few days by the pool. The boys enjoyed an escorted jet ski ride. Food is varied and good quality. The staff are extremely polite and happy to help. We had a 2 bed villa at the top of the hill with great views, we often made use of the electric golf cart/buggy to take us up after dinner!

Good for weekend gateways

Stayed in the Seaview villa. Room is tiny but comes with a balcony that offers unblocked Seaview. Wifi is stronger at the laying restaurant compared to room. Pool is small though good for a short swim. Resort offers free transfer between sekupang ferry terminal. Getting to other places will need to Grab. Room amenities have a comprehensive range and refills are done daily. Need to request hair dryer from reception. Breakfast selection is OK.

The place are ok but theirs staff not helpful. There offer a private parking but its not thru lies only . Staff at café are not helpful cannot make customers happy. We go for breakfast but allowed even we will pay reception. Please check for next customer not get the bad Services.

Lovely view but disappointed service.

Lovely resort but the dust in the room woke me up and ended up with a running nose. Restaurant food was delicious. I move to the villa and the bathroom will flood after shower. Lots of facilities for all ages and the plane fly across the resort every 5 minutes.

Best family bonding place

Most of the staff are friendly and reliable and helpful. Especially the buggy driver from Aceh (didn't catch his name) who literally helped my mum onto the vehicle each time we took his ride. Most of all, my mum and our family are very happy to have spent our holiday retreat here. We are considering to come back again next time.

Excellent breakfast and pool. Nice staff. Oddly they only provide extremely thick duvets for bed coverings, and it was 28"C. Also, they had a nice verandah outside our room, but the lights were so bright we could not enjoy the ocean in the evening, and the light shone into our room too. The big disappointment was the pond that they advertise as being suitable for snorkelling. It is filthy and has little fresh water circulating through it. I would not even dip my toes in it.

Good getaway from busy usual life. Just a 50 minutes ferry away from busy Singapore. Great view to Singapore and nice good restaurant.

Love it

This is our third/fourth time coming back to stay at KTM. It's a very lovely laidback resort, suitable if you wish to enjoy your time chilling and enjoy the sea breeze. The staff are friendly and the room is clean. Wish there were still rooms available during our trip, always sold out. Enjoyed our dinner at the ombak bar, as well as the normal restaurant. We'll definitely come back here again! My boyfriend and I love this hotel alot. There's a fishing jetty too!

The room is not soundproof that every little conversation next door could be heard. We were hoping for a relaxing and quiet weekend but cut short our stay as we could not sleep at night as it was way too noisy!! Not going back again.

This was my second time at the resort. I love it! And, Jack makes your arrival a personal experience. I go there to write because the waves kissing the shore is a wonderful sound and then in the evening I can enjoy a great dinner and then walk offer to the bar for great music and drinks.

Comforting refuge from busy city life

Simple pleasures, away from busy city life and at one with the sea and nature. Caught a glimpse of an eagle soaring over the restaurant looking for it's tea time snack. Goos local food for reasonable price. Overlooks the Singapore city skyline to draw a contrast.

It was ok

Overall it was pretty good, facilities are on par with what you would be paying for it. Room While the room is adequately furnished, the toilet was a tad disappointing. Some aspects of the room could probably do with more servicing but overall it was decent enough Food Seafood lunch was fresh and reasonably priced. Breakfast provided was the standard western wares that you generally see served at most hospitality establishments. However, there was a sprinkle of local food which was an interesting aspect of breakfast. Decent amount of variety which should fill up an average person.

Usual Reliable Chill getaway

Usual reliable chill getaway resort. Nice views of the sea, sunrise and lagoon from the sea view villas. Food is good and still a little cheaper than Bintan. Sea view villas are a little tight but with the good views and a very effective air conditioner, no complaints

Good Place to Relax.... Just Relax

KTM resort is good for a really getaway from the bustling city life. Hotel Van pick up at Sekupang and bring us all the way to the reception for our check in. Lots of different resort and villa types of stay but be prepared to walk uphill for your room stay ( depends on which type you booked ). My room is facing the sea and is just a few steps down to the swimming pool, restaurant area and the Bar with pipe in music in the evening is facing the sea. Only upon checking out, we have to climb uphill to the reception area. Nice view from our room but the Balcony is a sharing one, meaning two units sharing a Balcony. It would be nice if the Balcony is all to ourselves instead of sharing. Food at the restaurant is simple and the Breakfast is nothing to shout about as its only a simple breakfast without american breakfast like Bacon, Sausage or Ham. Only consolation is that they have a counter to make eggs from the pan for you. Spa there is quite run down but Wifi is acceptable in the room. There is a Kwan Im Statue ( Goddess of Mercy ) for devotees to pray. Other than a quiet relaxing stay, there is not much things you can do in this resort.

Hotel facilities are good... Good location for those needs staycations away from the big city. Staff at counter friendly. Cleanliness of bed and toilet more expect that I had.

A place where you want to relax

Great place to chill. Views from the balcony were fantastic. However there were a few concerns. Please inform your guests when fumigation takes place. We were gassed on 2 occasions. Please the music from the bar down at a comfortable level. It was too loud on the first day. Safety of the place. There was a bench next to the sea wall that should have been fenced off. There were steps that were broken and cracked and railings that were missing.

Short weekend getaway spent well

Firstly, the ambiance of the entire resort is amazing, accompanied by the friendliest and most welcoming team of staff. Thank you for making this short getaway for my boyfriend and I a more than great one. Thank you for making his birthday surprise a pleasant one as well. Never thought I will feel this satisfied after a stay, but thank you for proving me wrong.

Relaxing stay

My seafront villa room was a bit too small, but it was clean and beautiful view facing the sea. Resort was clean and friendly staffs. Seafood at the restaurant was all fresh and I enjoyed sitting at Ombak bar chatting with friends and grabbed the drink. Very strong wifi. Pool was small but clean. I wish they give discount on their spa service and have a fish-fishing, instead of squid-fishing. Overall I enjoy my stay and would love to go back someday.

Nice view of the sea, and beautiful surrounding. The breakfast was really bad, the room was very average. Nothing other than the location was good.

Nice place but a little run down. Distance to town is also a little far. Not too bad for a day or two stays.

It is a rustic resort to have a short and relax vacations , 2 things to improve wic is 1. breakdfast, no much choice to improve, 2. Swimming pools, too small, should have an additional pools for children, it is not safe for children to playing at the adult pools.

Perfect chillax resort for a short getaway!

KTM Resort is the perfect place to chill & relax & do nothing... Which fits perfectly to my objective of this trip. Didn't even step out of the resort at all. This place is self sufficient. If you wanna do sea sports, they do have simple ones like Banana Boat & Jet Ski or more... I didn't really check out what others they have. For me I just love to swim at their pool, have some drinks and awesome Pizzas, Pastas & finger food at their pool side bar by the sea called Ombak with real good music playlist. The resort is decent & clean with mostly facing the sea view.
