The Palais de Chine is in a very convenient location in the heart of Taipei. The rooms and facilities are clean, comfortable, and beautifully styled—overall, an exceptional experience. I would also like to mention that the staff were professional and incredibly courteous. I’d like to specifically thank Andy for being so kind and thoughtful; he is a fantastic member of the concierge team. If you are visiting Taipei, I highly recommend staying here.

Love love love this hotel's location. Centrally located at Taipei train station, with subway, airport subway, train, and highspeed railway, and a bus terminal all nearby. Super convenient whether you are traveling within Taipei or traveling out to other cities. It's located right next to a mall with a variety of shopping and dining options at the mall and train station. The hotel is very comfortable despite being a little bit dated. We booked a family room and the room was spacious and comfy for 2 adults and 2 kids. I will come back again.

Best hotel in Taiwan we lived
It’s the best hotel we lived in Taiwan. The hotel is located near the main station, which is very convenient. We got a free room upgrade, we enjoyed our corner room with great views. The restaurant is great, it’s highly recommended to visit. Room service menu and quality was on top of our expectations. The hotel definitely looks better in real life than on photos.

- • The only gripe I might have is the shower. I would really prefer a standing shower.. the shower in the bathtub was really scary for me whenever I step in. For my partner too. Not ideal for people going in age. But does not dampen the other aspect. I still love palais. ❤️

The location is very convenient, the rooms are excellent, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. A special shout‑out to Ting, who kindly assisted us in packing our hand‑carry pasalubong into a check‑in box. Truly outstanding service!

Świetny hotel w bardzo dobrej lokalizacji z rewelacyjną restauracją
Hotel położony w samym centrum Taipei, przy głównej stacji kolejowej - można dojechać z lotniska bezpośrednio jedną z linii metra. Hotel luksusowy, urządzony bardzo stylowo, czystość na najwyższym poziomie. Największe wrażenie jednak zrobiła na mnie restauracja hotelowa - chyba najlepsza restauracja hotelowa w jakiej byłem w życiu! :) Naprawdę królewskie śniadanie. Na pewno warto zjeść tam kolację, ale nie udało nam się niestety zdobyć miejsca (trzeba rezerwować z wyprzedzeniem)

We had a wonderful time. It was our first visit to Taiwan, and we found the hotel staff first class, the room clean, and
I found the decor romantic in the sense that it brought a fairy-tale atmosphere to our visit. I love the wood, sconces, and attention to detail.

Nice stay at Palais de Chine hotel
Stayed three nights at Palais de Chine in November. We stayed there for the first time in April and enjoyed our stay so we decided to stay there again. Our room has a better view this time, looking over the train station. We enjoyed the 17th fl Le Salon exec lounge very much. They changed the lounge set up and now only provide drinks, desserts and small appetizers, no longer serving food on order. Instead we can order free food from a selected menu at the Le The restaurant. I am fine with this change, it makes the lounge quieter and more relaxing. The selection of spirits was just as good as the last time. Shout out to Miss Greta Chiang at the Le Salon reception desk. She was friendly and welcoming, and was real patient and helpful answering our questions about attractions in the city. The breakfast buffet was a good selection of local and western dishes. Try the beef shabu shabu at breakfast, it's so darn good.

Fantastic stay!
Really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast spread was very very good and the location between a mall and the main train station could not hv been better. Polly Pan at the executive club was a delight. The only thing I would hv done was to refill the minibar during our 9 day(!) stay

Room Not Tidied from Previous Guest at Check-In
This is our second stay here. Our first experience, just a few days ago, was fantastic. We checked in at about 8pm today and it has ruined our impression. This room that we booked was intentionally upgraded so that my elderly aunt could get the separate shower area, instead of showering in the tub. We were shocked to see the room in such a state. To see the beds not tidied, the bin not cleared, and used cups and glasses on the table when we first entered the room gave us a very bad impression. I think the minimum the hotel could do is to provide a tidied and clean room for a guest who is checking in. I guessed the front desk staff was shocked when we showed them the photos. They immediately gave us another room.

- • 1) the bathroom configuration. We booked a family room so definitely expected greater privacy during shower. There isn’t an en-suite bathroom. the shower room had a see-through glass door. Bath tub was outside. Together with the toilet, there’s a shower curtain. Meaning when someone is showering, the others can’t use the toilet. I had to set strict ground rules with my kids not to peek when others are bathing. We couldn’t understand the concept the hotel had in mind when designing the bathroom. 2) the hotel need a serious change of pillows & bed. Pillows were very soft and flat. I had to ask for extra pillows to stack them up. Bed is in quite a bad condition. I hear the bed springs whenever I move slightly on the bed.

- • 호텔 성급에 맞는 직원 서비스가 이루어지는지는 잘 모르겠습니다. 여행 내내 5성급 호텔만 묵었는데 비교가 될 정도라 아쉬웠습니다. 욕조가 있으나 샤워기가 욕조에 붙어있어 샤워와 욕조 사용을 따로 할 수 없는게 아쉬웠고 카페트 특성상의 꿉꿉한 냄새나 옆 호실이 문을 닫을 때 저희 호실 문이 흔들리는… 시설 노후에 대한 문제가 있습니다.

If you like the semi-dark environment of classical castle decoration, with quality interior configuration, it is a good choice. We chose this hotel mainly because of the location, price, and two large beds in the family room, which can accommodate two adults and three young children.

What a stunning hotel. This is easily my favourite hotel of all time. It delivers on aesthetic and atmosphere. Yes, it is dark. Yes, it is dimly lit. That's the point. It's meant to represent the gloomy atmosphere and elegance of a European castle. It's even more impressive when decorated for Xmas. It's clean, comfortable and intimate. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and guests are quiet and respectful. It's conveniently located to Taipei Main Station, and Q Square. We really enjoyed Palais de Chine and found it incredibly worth it.

Six nights at Palais de Chine
We spent six nights at the hotel. We were in Taiwan as tourists. The hotel's location is good: there are several interesting neighborhoods within walking distance, the MRT is very close and there are several malls nearby. The airport express train station is theoretically under the hotel, but in practice it takes 25 minutes to get there and can be difficult to find. The staff is five-star, especially the ground floor staff but also the front desk staff. We stayed at an executive suite which should be called an executive junior suite. The bathroom was nice with a bathtub and a shower. The bed was comfortable. The executive lounge had a reasonable choice of snacks and drinks. Breakfast had an excellent choice with both Chinese and Western options.

- • The pseudo European Middle Age castle theme is quirky. The light switches in the room were quite complicated. The toilet flush was not very efficient.

Hotel was nice, and location was very good. There is a mall right besides the hotel. Staff was very friendly.

- • Lighting… hotel was too dark! They could do with brighter lighting. Also, room layout was strange… shower/tub is right at the room entrance with only a curtain… to us, this layout seemed strange!
