Regent House Hotel

I was very happy with my stay and would love to stay again.

Nice hotel, spacious room. Easy self-check-in. No elevator so lots of stairs if on the 2nd (really 3rd floor). Tiny bathroom, but great water pressure and really hot water. No place to store luggage - used stasher at nearby hotel before the next leg of out trip. 15 min walk to downtown center/Royal Mile/Edinburgh Castle. It was. I’ve to have individual twin beds for the kids and still have plenty of room to walk around.

Reasonably Priced Hotel

Guess you get what you pay for. This hotel is basic, not suitable for people with mobility issues as the stairs are steep and uneven with no lift. Rooms were ok, clean and a comfortable bed. Location in the heart of Edinburgh is its strong point. Good price but not much in line of amenities. No sign of a breakfast despite some sites advertising one. No staff on site on evenings. If they had charged more, my review would have been a two stars but as I said above, at the price it did a job.

You get what you pay for. Not accessible for the disable or elderly. Three flights of stairs with no lift. Struggled to actually get into the hotel via press keypad. The amenities were very basic which reflects on the price but did it job.

1st class location, that’s where it ends……..

No parking, No staff, and no way would I recommend this to anyone (apart from my ex wife) and after they had dumped my luggage in the lobby they wanted to charge me £150 for the service , the parking is no where near the and there is NO parking anywhere close by……almost ruined my honeymoon

Very nice room, all went well. Instructions and video to access the accommodation was very good. I had an excellent stay.

Communication with staff prior to arrival was difficult. The generic check-in information received at the time of booking contained an error, leading us to contact the hotel for clarification - and we never recevied a response despite attempting contact via the hotel's website, the Expedia portal and telephone. Other than this - once we received the self-check in instructions over e-mail (which were late in arriving), everything went smoothly. The rooms were tidy. The location is fantastic.

Handy position and fit for purpose; an easy stay.

We liked that hotel was close enough to all the activities and restaurants we had in our plans.

The Property is clean, Staff are very helpful specially Janine and David from Costumer service. Upon arrival key pick up instruction was so easy the same as the drop off.
