- • We woke up at 6.00 am by a false fire alarm, waited around 20 minutes outside and by the check-out no one even said any word like "we are sorry".

I attended my masonic meeting, my wife shopped, we sightseed. Excellent.

- • The weather... it rained all week. But the hotel always had an umbrella available.
Beutiful, elegant,Hotel in a superb location.
This is a very elegant Hotel in the heart of the New Town in Edinburgh. Fabulous location. Beautiful building. We had a lovely, clean room. The staff without exception were very friendly, especially those in the bar and at reception, which was extremely efficient.

- • Breakfast though was a little disappoinmting. The hot food on the buffet was done to death, and even the freshhly cooked items were not the best.
