Thinking I need to shop around for a new launchpad to the airport
Look, there's no debating it. the hotel is close to the the airport, has a shuttle and is price effective this time of the year. The rooms are clean and comfortable but the hotel can be very busy. Which brings me to the reason I'm writing this and I'd normally just mention it on the corporate website so they could handle it internally but Best Western Corporate does not seem to offer that option so out to TripAdvisor we go. Hotel has 2 elevators. I stayed at the end of January and only 1 was working. Came back 3rd week of Feb. Same one still not working. Really, Hotel Manager! Get your act together. If you're not going to fix it then drywall over the opening and stop pretending. I spoke with one of your staff and he mentioned it had been broken for awhile. And one more thing. It's winter. Try heating the lobby. I shouldn't have to wear a winter coat indoors. Even your staff at the check-in desk have one of those Costco parabolic space heaters on a chair behind them to warm their backs. Most BW hotels are great. This one.....less so. I'm going to look for other options nearby the airport.

The room was clean comfortable and warm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was good.

In general it was satisfactory.
Check-in was fast and courteous. We were able to get a top floor suite upon request. Although the planes fly directly overhead (which is actually quite thrilling), you don't hear them in the rooms, so they're well sound isolated. We also weren't disturbed by other guests.

- • The decor unfortunately is very dated, especially in the rooms. A lot of lack of coordination. Looks like they need an interior designer to give it a bit of a makeover, not necessarily an entire re-do. Also the restaurant decor is boring. It doesn't know whether it wants to be a sports bar, a family environment, or fine dining. Again, an interior designer is needed.
