Great location and very well run hotel. They kindly gave us a late check out.

Wonderful room and great overall NYE experience. Staff were however under considerable pressure given the New Year period, which compromised optimal service delivery at times.

Booked two nights for the New Year countdown party. There is notable increase in guests as expected but the staff anticipated needs such as moving happy hour from 22nd lounge to the ballroom and allowing usage of staff elevators to the rooms after the countdown events. Expensive stay but worth it.

Location is near Taipei 101. Airport Bus 1960 stops right there which is very convenient from airport. Beds are very comfortable. Overall a good stay.

Top-tier stay in a prime Taipei location

We travel often and this was an excellent stay. The Grand Hyatt Taipei’s Xinyi location is outstanding, steps from Taipei 101, shopping, and MRT, yet still comfortable and easy to retreat from the city. Our high-floor suite was exceptional: spacious, quiet, and genuinely livable. The kids commented that you could live there and we agreed. The views alone made coming back to the room a highlight. Breakfast was a standout. The main buffet downstairs is one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had anywhere, far surpassing the lounge offering and well worth the extra cost. Service was warm and professional throughout. Large hotel, but well run. A key reason we left Taipei wanting to return.

The airport bus stops right in front of the hotel! So near big malls especially Taipei 101. Responsive, helpful staff. Good value.

Room Maintenance and Hygiene Concerns

The room exhibited an unpleasant odour and showed signs of inadequate maintenance. The waste bin was not emptied on a daily basis. The bedroom slippers provided were discolored and not in a hygienic condition.

Great location, Needs Improvement on Services

Location is great, very convenient when walking around the modern area of central Taipei. Walk around the area you discover many cafes. The grand lounge and lobby was very nice but, my expectations with the service were not met. We had a tour scheduled for pick up at 7:45 so we went down at 7am to have some light breakfast or hot latte but, the cafe was not open. We went to the restaurant where breakfast buffet was served, asked if we can order from the Ala Carte menu. One staff said yes, the other staff firmly said no. We didn't have enough time to go for a buffet that day, ended up going to a convenience store before our ride arrived. Didn't research enough about the restaurant but, it's sad hotel guests can't order Ala carte coffee when the cafe is not open yet. The staff who did our check-in and check-out were friendly but the lady at the concierge desk was not accommodating. Overall, it was not a bad stay (2N3D) but as a Grand Hyatt brand, the service could've been better.

Incredible service

Great room - but more importantly, an incredibly supportive and helpful staff who went above and beyond to make my trip a success. Likely switching from Marriott to Hyatt as we head into 2026.

Professional and reassuring service during an unexpected earthquake

During our stay, we experienced an unexpected earthquake. The team handled the situation calmly and professionally, which made us feel very well taken care of. The thoughtful room upgrade and meal arrangements were greatly appreciated

Coffee please?

Stayed for 4 nights here. There were at least 4 machines that were broken in the exercise room. Another issue was when I asked for 2 more additional coffee bags each morning, I was told that I would have to go out and buy them myself (which I did). This is not a major issue, but certainly not the kind of customer service I would expect from a Grand Hyatt. I routinely visit Hyatt's of all classes and this is the first time I received a response like this to a request for additional coffee. Despite my status with Hyatt, I would not book with Grand Hyatt again when visiting Taipei.

Great hotel in the heart of Xinyin in Taipei

Great hotel in Xinyin and right next to Taipei 101. Being a globalist got to eat breakfast daily in regency club or downstairs (with more selection) and very friendly staff. Loved being able to use the Spa for Onsen and cold plunge!

Wonderful Stay!

Excellence in all regards, room, bed/sleep quality, location, concierge-type service. I’m a big fan of their buffet type breakfast.

Grand Hyatt Taipei

Grand Hyatt Taipei is a nice facility near Taipei 101 and the metro. Not spectacular but nice. I was there on business, not sure I would pay for it myself, it was a bit pricy. The breakfast buffet is exceptional and I would pay for that all day long :)

As others have done, I rate this hotel Average

I thought for the price, the experience was average The plus point was that it was right by Teipei 101, which can be reached by a covered skywalk A number of niggles lead to my average grading - basically the hotel closes down at 23.00 at night. We could get no food, and the bar was closing - lighting in the pool at night was bad, and the duty manager did not appear interested. It was dangerous - the reception area gets overcrowded. I have no idea why so many groups mill around here - the pool had groups of men larking around , making lots of noise and nobody policed their behavoiur

High value for a 5 star hotel.

My wife and I throughly enjoyed the amenities and services here. We are seniors and have traveled enough to know what a good hotel or airbnb experience is like. The location is great and convenient to many attractions. The staff is extremely hospitable, eager to please and well-mannered.

Business Visit

Location is extremely good. However rest everything is avoidable. Small rooms. No help with luggage. Extremely crowded lobby. Worst check in experience, need to wait long. Crowded breakfast. Avoidable hotel.

Very average experience

Initially, I was very disappointed due to the room issues when I first checked in. However, the helpfulness of the staff, particularly Duty Manager Johnson Huang, improved my overall experience at Grand Hyatt Taipei. I would rate the helpfulness of the staff at 4.5 out of 5. On the other hand, the cleanliness and amenities of the hotel are at 3 out of 5.

위치는 중심지까지 그렇게 가깝지는 않았으나, 타이베이 101을 통하여 지하철을 타러 가는 통로가 있어 편리하게 이용했습니다. 전체적인 컨디션이 매우 괜찮았고 수영장도 좋았습니다. 직원들도 매우 친절했으며, 영어로 원활한 소통을 할 수 있었습니다. 조금씩만 걸어 나가면 은근 주변에 로컬 식당이 많습니다. 4박 5일동안 머물며 했던 주위 동네 구경은 꽤 즐거운 여행의 플러스 요소가 되었습니당. 마지막으로 공항까지 바로 가는 버스가 호텔 바로 앞쪽에 오기 때문에 그 점도 매우 편리했습니다!

Great Hotel right next to Taipei 101

Grand Hyatt was a fantastic experience if looking for a 5 star hotel. ideal location: across the street from Taipei 101, easy access to MRT- therefore to just about anywhere in Taipei. Newer than some of the other 5-star so the hotel is more spacious in general. Rooms were good, as staff friendly as most 4-5star hotels in Asia. Breakfast was a standout. Reasonably priced, high quality and a wide variety of options (too much for one sitting).

A perfect location for a 4-generation family reunion, ages from 2 to 93!

I am flying out of Taipei following our recent week-long four-generation family reunion at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. Sixteen of us, spanning three generations, flew from the US and stayed in seven rooms and suites for a combined total of 60 nights. The great-grandmother from Taipei also joined us and stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. We genuinely enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The hotel’s location next to Taipei 101 is incredibly convenient for dining, the night market, shopping, and public transportation (MRT and city buses). We especially appreciated the easy, stress-free travel from Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) via the public Da-Yu CitiAir Bus #1960, which stops directly in front of the Grand Hyatt Taipei. The beautiful Christmas lights and decorations throughout the lobby, including the beautifully decorated giant four-story Xmas tree (an impossible to resist photo stop), added a wonderful festive atmosphere during our stay (the US Thanksgiving period). The main purpose of this review is to commend the exceptional staff: - Denny provided patient and excellent service during check-in, linking all our reservations and assisting us smoothly with upgrades and requests. - The Café Breakfast Team was phenomenal. Rita and Lauren were incredibly organized and accommodating, consistently ensuring our large group was seated together for the buffet breakfast. Paul and Elsa proactively checked in with guests to ensure everyone was well taken care of, and the service staff was highly efficient, constantly clearing used plates. - Hank at the Omelet Station and Ruby at the Vegetable Pork Roll Station deserve special recognition. Despite the constant lines at their stations, they both kept their composure and prepared the make-to-order items perfectly and efficiently. - The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job maintaining our rooms, diligently refilling our bottled water, towels, and toiletries. After staying 15 nights at this hotel on this trip, my wife and I plan to stay at the Grand Hyatt Taipei exclusively when we return to visit family and friends. We look forward to coming back in March 2026.

This Grand Hyatt with Club Access is absolutely worth it with quality of food. We stayed at a Park Hyatt this trip also and liked this Grand Hyatt better! Very considerate check-in staff with separate kiosk. Thank you!

Ok hotel in good location

This is a centrally located hotel right by 101. It is large with a wide breakfast selection. But breakfast and the front desk can get very crowded. Luckily there is a Hyatt member desk as well. Otherwise the rooms are ok, but even as a Globalist that has stayed multiple times, I don't get an upgrade or much of an acknowledgment. The hotel is simply too big and perpetually crowded. The staff at Cheers and housekeeping are all perpetually friendly and proactive. Unfortunately much of the food at Cheers is under seasoned and pales compared to the breakfast selection.

Beautiful hotel with nice amenities. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. All staff were very helpful and accommodating. I appreciated that my room was a quiet and comfortable space for me to relax and unwind from the crowds of the night markets and Taipei streets. I would definitely stay here again.

It's ok. The lobby/entrance is grand. The room was very average and a bit disappointing. Very old carpet, small bathroom and really needs an upgrade. We did have a nice little view of Taipei 101. The pool is nice, it's showing its age as well. My husband and I did enjoy their spa and give our masseuse Kelley 5 stars. She was fantastic and the experience was worth it. Front desk Staff there is ok. Nothing stands out. The ladies at Baguette were nice and know how to prepare nice lattes. The valet was also very attentive. The skywalk to Taipei 101 came in handy as a typhoon pelted Taipei with rain the whole 4 days we were there. All in all, we preferred our other hotel in Taipei.

Good value and choice for 1st time Taipei visitor

Wonderful complimentary breakfast. Hotel was clean and well upkept. Close to all shopping complex and fast train and subways. My room even got the view of 101 tower. Can't beat that!!!

Not your 5-star hotel. Experience was ok…

I thought the hotel was fine. I can see why people feel that this hotel is dated. It was recently its 35th anniversary, and like most things that come with age, it is not as modern for a big city like Taipei. It is similar to many Hiltons that I have stayed at or a lower end Marriott definitely not a Grand Hyatt when I think of this brand. Maybe just a little step up of the Hyatt Regency. In addition, there is a new law in Taiwan from the Environmental Management Administration, Ministry of Environment that states hotels will no longer be providing disposable personal amenities in guest rooms. If you need or forgot anything, it will cost 30NTD, which is a small amount. However, when I was at the Shangri-la the night before at check-in the hotel will provide you with a list of any amenity kits that you need without incurring additional fees. I would say the lobby was definitely very grandiose, with great Christmas decorations. When I got off the taxi, someone opened my door, but no one offered to help me with my bags like what I expect at a five star hotel. The check-in process was not very seamless either. I waited for over 10 minutes before someone came to help me. I was checking in around 2:30 PM and I understand that right now it’s considered the high season. However, if the hotel knows that it is the high season then I would expect the front desk to be fully staffed and not have only three hotel staff servicing people around check in time. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the spa accommodations such as the steam room and sauna since I did not use it. The pool is a little bit dated. I just stayed at the Shangri-La the night before and that was a lot nicer. The breakfast was okay, nothing special but I would have to say the executive lounge was good. There are good views of Taipei 101 and the staff was friendly there, but it does get very busy during happy hour from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Next time when I come back to Taipei, and if i decide to stay near Taipei 101, I hope the four seasons will be finished and I would love to stay there.

The Grand Hyatt brings you an amazing international experience. Everyone is professional and service oriented. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious and the beds were very good. I had a great rest. The front desk employees were quite helpful and eager to help you with your questions. Sandra and Elaine are very helpful and very nice.

great people in taiwan, underwhelming experience at grand hyatt taipei

Our experience at the Grand Hyatt Taipei has been underwhelming, to say the least. We are traveling with our two boys, ages 10 and 12. We booked a studio with cash and an additional room using Hyatt points. At the time of booking, only a king-bed room was available. When we checked in early at 10 a.m., we asked if both rooms could be arranged on the same floor and if the king-bed room could be changed to one with two double beds. We were told the team would update us once the arrangements were confirmed. However, throughout the entire day, we received no communication—no email, no phone call. When we returned to the hotel around 9 p.m., none of our requests had been fulfilled. Instead, we were met with a staff member, Toby, who firmly informed us that no suitable rooms were available. We understand the hotel may be busy and did not expect every request to be accommodated, but better communication would have greatly improved our experience. Additionally, when we arrived in the room and requested a set of sheets, a pillow, and a cover—twice—we waited more than 20 minutes with no delivery. Eventually, I had to go downstairs personally to request that it be sent promptly. jackson, the duty manager, did made extra effort to make up for our underwhelming experience during the first two days of our stay at the property. we do appreciate that extra effort. however things have continued to take an unexpectedly comical turn during the third day of our stay. my wife has to leave early. our 2 sons moved into the studio with me. I requested a full set of pillow, sheet, and cover through Hana at the front desk. Yet again, housekeeping delivered only a single sheet during the day. we realized the partial delivery in the evening, After two follow-up calls, they delivered another sheet and a pillow—still not the full set I had asked for. I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. Overall, this has been very disappointing.

One of the best hotels in Taipei, great for business or family

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The location is great, next to the trade center so you can travel to any conventions within walking distance and rain free. Also across from 101, mrt, bus, shopping and many central attractions so lots of things to do from morning to night and very convenient. It is very upscale, clean, great service. Lots of amenities including gym, Swimming pool, and a lounge. There was free buffet breakfast and cocktail that included alcoholic beverages but also horderves that fills you. It's very relaxing and great for people here for business or families tired from a day of travel. The staff is friendly and accommodating and I would definitely be back!

Desperately Needs Renovation

I booked this as an award night and was given an upgrade to a Deluxe King room; however, we were shocked at the state of the room's cleanliness. There were just stains everywhere. The carpet was quite filthy, and we also found a clump of hair by the bed. The sofa also had stains. Anyway, they downgraded us to a standard King room, that was relatively cleaner but still covered in stains. Everything else with the place was pretty much fine. The staff I interacted with was friendly, etc. It was just the cleanliness of the hotel that was bad. Apparently, this hotel opened in 1990 and was renovated in 2015, but it honestly needs another renovation with the state of things in the room. I also noticed a musty smell throughout the hotel corridors and room. My only pleasant surprise was the free spa area on the 5th floor that was quite nice. I wouldn't really say this hotel is a good value in its current state, so I would probably look elsewhere.

Great Family Experience

We had a great experience with the Grand Hyatt Taipei. We traveled with my immediate family as well as my siblings and their kids and my parents. The were great at accommodating my whole family (there were 18 of us) as best as they can. When it got very crowded they obviously were unable to. The service was amazing. We will happily return in the future.

Fantastic hotel with 10/10 location. The foyer is stunning and rooms are nice. Let me save you some time when deciding on this vs other hotels; Location, location, location. 10/10 on location. Adjacent to 101 with dozens of restaurants, shopping, activities. Our room view of 101 was awesome. Easy to get a taxi to and from hotel because all drivers know exactly where it is. I would highly recommend and would return. You won’t regret anything about your stay here.

Great stay in the heart of the city.

Very good Hyatt Property, with a nice buffet style club breakfast with both western and taiwanese entrees. The rooms are slightly dated but very clean. The staff was very helpful, particularly with some issues where we needed language and document translation help. The pool was lovley, warm, and fun. The location, right next to taipei 101 tower and transit station was perfect.

Disappointment from Check In until Check Out

A large hotel with a great location, close to Taipei 101 under the Grand Hyatt brand which gives you some expectations. When checking it, you wait in lines - just like at the check in at an airport. This does not feel like a five star hotel at all. We had booked through Hyatt Prive which usually gives an upgrade and late check out, neither of this was honored and we felt no flexibility at all with the front desk staff - just a no. The room was spacious for Taipei, it was clean and had a decent view. We got a room in the end of the hallway - there was no noise from people in the hallway. Breakfast was included for us, although it was hectic in the restaurant where breakfast was served - we were seated after being in line for approximately ten minutes. The assortment was good and the food fresh, but way too much people to be able to enjoy the time. The pool was big and looked good. When checking out and pointing these things out, we just got a "ok". Not even a "sorry to hear about your experience". Will probably find another property in Taipei next time.

Excellent stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed my 6 night stay at GH Taipei during my trip to Taiwan. The hotel is lovely and the staff were wonderful. I especially appreciated the staff outside the hotel who helped me get taxis and opened car doors for me every time I returned. I thought that really made a difference compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. I stayed in a suite on the 6th floor and my room was made up every day by the awesome room attendants who were always nearby to assist with additional toiletries if needed. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again the next time I visit Taipei.

Autumn in Taipei

The Hyatt hotels should offer high standard services, where ever you go WW. This one in Taipei was more a Regency, rather than a Grand Hyatt experience.

Beauty is skin deep

Let me start from the beginning. Both the breakfast buffet and the Japanese buffet offered by my Amex card provided a consistent, and consistently poor, dining experience. The food looked magnificent, but the taste was a letdown. While the hotel proper deserves a stellar ten-star rating, the food quality at its restaurants is abysmal. A negative ten stars is too generous for the Japanese buffet alone. The $50 USD price tag per person is exorbitant for food that isn't worth even $5. The dining was a near-tearful disappointment." If you rate the dinning experience 5 star, I dont know what to tell you. You are either too polite or have very bad taste buds.

This hotel is smack beside Taipei 101, there’s a linked bridge that connects both buildings.Grand Hyatt Taipei is beautiful!The room is huge, very clean and the bed is super comfortable!!!!We stayed here for a week to celebrate my birthday and it was a wonderful experience for my husband and i as it’s our first time in Taiwan.Lovely pool as you can see Taipei 101 view.Very convenient to find alot of eateries and posh restaurants at Taipei 101 itself.Shopping was heaven as they have most of the luxury brands too!There is a huge food court, supermarket at the basement level of Taipei 101.Besides Taipei 101, there’s also other huge malls.You can find H&M, Zara Home etc. Overall… totally love my stay at Grand Hyatt Taipei and will come back again!

Went for business, and had more fun than expected

Overall this hotel is very nice, the staff is amazing and the hotel is located very close to everything you can think of. From high end shopping and restaurants, to local night markets and other things.

Unexpected noise at 3:30 am

I always enjoy staying at Grand Hyatt Taipei and it has become my go-to choice when I’m in the area. Unfortunately, during my most recent stay, there was quite a bit of noise from downstairs around 3:30 a.m. and lasted about half an hour which made it difficult to sleep. I had to go to the lobby and asked the front desk personnel to investigate the issue. I hope this was just a one-time issue, as I truly appreciate the comfort and service this hotel usually provides. Received an upgrade to the grand suite, very roomy and comfortable. Had lunch at Bel Air restaurant and it was truly fantastic! Breakfast at the cafe was very crowd and there’s always long line, I tried the lounge for breakfast and dinner, less selection but much fewer people.

Great hotel in the center of the city

I was received by caring staff attending to my ankle injury. The hotel is grand like its name and location was perfect with easy access to multiple forms of transportation. Quiet, comfortable and clean....look forward to staying again when I visit Taipei in the future.

Professional and courteous staff

The customer service here is always prompt, courteous, and professional. Arrived early this morning from a long flight and was assisted by Kelly at the front desk. She met all of my requests patiently and made the entire process a breeze.
